The National Young Men of Color Leadership Initiative Foundation is one of the nation’s leading organizations specializing in motivating, inspiring, and empowering young Men, and Women of color. Since 2007, the organization has worked with school districts, colleges, and organizations in an effort to help young people understand how to best transverse the academic terrain. Through existing partnerships with school districts throughout the country, The Foundation is privileged to provide training and services with all stakeholders across the educational spectrum. From Professional Development for teachers, to Parent Involvement Training, to Leadership Development, and Student Empowerment—the National Young Men of Color Leadership Initiative Foundation presents a holistic model for change.

Since 2012, the NYMOCLIF managed the Young Men of Color Leadership Conferences for the Los Angeles Unified School District
Wes Hall, is an Arthur Vining Davis Fellow, Aspen’s Institute Scholar, Educational Consultant, Author, and Radio Talk Show Host.
Mr. Hall, co-created, and currently heads, the Young Men of Color Initiative, for the Los Angeles Unified School District. He co-authored the, “My Brother’s Keeper,” Resolution for the district, which satisfies a commitment made by the Board of Directors, to the Council of Great City Schools.
He co-created the, “Village Mentoring Program,” that provides adults mentors to students throughout the district. This year, though a partnership with the UCLA Collaborative, the number of schools served by the Village Program, will increase from 13 to 38. The district hopes to scale the program over the next 5 years to reach many more schools.
Mr. Hall, created and co-teaches one of the few Elective Courses, in the country, created for and comprised solely of young Men of color. The course is entitled, the, “Greatness Academy.” The class is a credit-awarding course, being offered at Locke High School, located in Watts, California. Mr. Hall, as a result of his 10-year, ongoing independent research project, developed the curriculum, which is being used to teach the class.
Mr. Hall, is the Host of the, “You Are the Money Radio Show,” that airs live from Los Angeles, California, every Thursday, at 11am-pst, on Accelerated Radio. Guests who have appeared on the show include, Actor/Director, Bill Duke, Charlie Wilson, Eric Benet, Lalah Hathaway, Les Brown, and Rushion McDonald.
